IFB is a certified EBA consultant for electrical equipment in the areas of railway power supply, converters and inverters, switching stations und substations, switchgear and paralleling points, caternary systems, third rail systems, bonding and earthing, as well as operation control systems. As consultants for railway vehicles, IFB covers the testing of drivetrain technology, rail vehicle clearance, and software for vehicles focusing on security classification, risk analysis, development processes, and the creation of safety documentation.
For magnetic levitation technology of the Transrapid type, IFB is the only expert in the field of propulsion and power supply currently. When it comes to the approval of individual components or subsidiary systems, IFB’s services include the assessment of documents and the verification of test and application tracks.
